Temtem features an alternate game mode, called Nuzlocke, which follows a set of custom rules that are intended to make the game more challenging and that are also designed to create stronger bonds with your Temtem.

Description[]

  • Any Temtem exhausted in combat is considered dead and you won't be able to use it again in combat.
  • You may only catch the first two Temtem encountered in each new area. You will only have one chance to capture them and you won't be able to catch any more Temtem until you progress to a new area.
    • You can run from a temtem that you've already caught without that counting as your encounter.
    • The count of remaining catchable encounters is shown to the bottom right of your map in the HUD.
  • You must nickname all Temtem caught in order to create stronger bonds with them.
  • When your last Temtem become exhausted, the game will be over. You'll lose all the progress and you'll have to start over again.

Various bosses have reduced levels:[1]

  • Max (Kisiwa): 6 Tems at 40-45
  • General X (Kisiwa): 4 tems at 54, 55, 57, 58
  • Dr. Sasaya (Neoedo Dojo): 6 Tems at 52-60
  • Dr Hamijo (Telebos) 6 Tems at 52-57
  • Percival (Properton Dojo): 6 tems at 77-82
  • General X (Arbury): 6 tems 80-85
  • Final Boss: 6 tems at 85-95
